Emmanuel (Christmas song)

This song was written on a Sunday, sent to the studio on the Tuesday and was on iTunes and YouTube by Thursday. On Friday of the same week it rated number 15 on the Australian Inspirational iTunes chart.

This song was written by Fr Rob Galea and Ryan Black. It speaks of the greatness of God and the love that caused Him to become one of us.

Behind the song "Letting Go"

Fr Rob Galea speaks about the song 'Letting Go' from his 'Reach Out' album.

There is little in life that is more painful than losing someone you love. The pain and grief can sometime be unbearable. There is also the struggle between needing to move on and not wanting to let go of the memories.

Fr Rob gives the background of this song. 'Letting Go' is available from iTunes and in the 'Reach Out' album on the store page above.

Song of Love (wedding song)

This song is a song written and performed by Fr Rob Galea which is often played at weddings. It speaks of the love between a couple. Love is so much more than an emotion; it is a commitment.

The commitment to love one another for the rest of their lives is blessed and anointed by God through the sacrament of marriage.

This song was written as a gift for relatives of Fr Rob and was played at their wedding.

This is a home-made video which tries to convey the message of the song. Lyrics of the song are available from the 'music' page.

God Does Not Make Rubbish - live

This is a live performance of the song 'God Does Not Make Rubbish' taken from Fr Rob's "Reach Out Live DVD".

This song was written by Fr Rob Galea and the late Bishop Joe Grech.

The lyrics of the song are very simple, but it is their simplicity that make this song so effective. The words speak of the dignity and love with which God has created us.

A studio version of this song includes the voice of Bishop Joe Grech and is available from iTunes or from the store page on this site.

Above All

This is live footage of Rob Galea's performance during the Stations of the Cross at the 2008 World Youth Day in Sydney. Rev. Rob stood and sang before a live audience of well over 200,000 people, and this footage was broadcast around the world to an estimated audience of one billion people.

The video is set in Sydney's Grand Harbor, right next to the Sydney Harbor Bridge and Opera House. The music and words of this moving song are composed and written by Lenny LeBlanc and Paul Baloche.

Above All is about the self-giving love of Jesus and was an ideal theme to conclude the Stations with.

At The Foot of The Cross

This is the second of Rev. Rob's professional music videos. This was recorded in 2008 in a small Church in Sydney, Australia. The song is about the love and mercy of God. We are reminded in this song that there is never a sin to great for the love and mercy of God. Whoever you are, whatever you've done, there is room for you At the Foot of the Cross.

This audio recording is found in Robert Galea's What A Day album which was recorded in Malta and released in 2008.

What Do You Say?

In 2006 Rob was asked to write a song for an anti-abortion campaign in Malta. After much thought, prayer and discussion on the issue Rob wrote a conversation between a struggling mother and the child within her womb.

At this time Rob Galea was studying at the Catholic Seminary in Malta and one of his brother seminarians came up with this video which is a compilation of stock and online video clips.

This is in no way a professional video, but a very effective one nonetheless.

“What do you Say?” is a song dealing with life, abortion, and the hardships of doing the right thing. The music and words are written and sung by Rev. Rob Galea.

Deeper

This video was Rev. Rob’s first ‘professional music video’. This video was shot in various locations around the island of Malta, the birthplace and home for the first 24 years of his life. This song is taken from his debut album "Closer".

This song is about a desire to draw closer and be taken deeper into the love of God. St Augustine once said that “our hearts are restless until they rest in God,” and this song draws from that reality. “Deeper” has had extensive radio and TV play around Malta, England and other parts of Europe.
